It uses <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediawiki.org\/wiki\/MediaWiki\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the same software as Wikipedia<\/a>, and even had an \u201dimport from Wikipedia\u201d-option in an earlier version (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usenix.org\/conference\/lisa-08\/keynote-address-implementing-intellipedia-within-need-know-culture\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dennehy<\/a>, 2008<span id='easy-footnote-1-236' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href=\"https:\/\/gustavs.se\/intra\/intellipedia-a-case-of-intrapreneurship\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-236\" title=\"Dennehy, S. Dennehy later recalled how <em>\u201dI thought I was working for our public relations office <\/em>[because]<em> I was up in their office so often about Intellipedia\u201d<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.usenix.org\/conference\/lisa-08\/keynote-address-implementing-intellipedia-within-need-know-culture\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dennehy<\/a>, 2008). However, the Intellipedia project was also met by skepticism from members of the USIC (<a href=\"http:\/\/conversation-matters.typepad.com\/Intellipedia_Study.pdf\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dixon &amp; McNamara<\/a>, 2008<span id='easy-footnote-7-236' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href=\"https:\/\/gustavs.se\/intra\/intellipedia-a-case-of-intrapreneurship\/#easy-footnote-bottom-7-236\" title=\"Dixon, N. M. &amp;amp; McNamara, L. A. (2013) \u201dIntrapreneurship in government &#8211; Making it work\u201d, &lt;em&gt;Deloitte University Press&lt;\/em&gt;, &lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/dupress.com\/articles\/intrapreneurship-in-government\/&quot;&gt;URL&lt;\/a&gt;\"><sup>9<\/sup><\/a><\/span>) and has been covered in many news articles, but is generally understudied in academic literature. The available research is a case study of Intellipedia as a main example for one of three \u201ddistinct legislative approaches\u201d to increase federal counterterrorism information-sharing by the U.S. Congress, where Intellipedia illustrates the consent approach (<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1080\/09546553.2014.924410\" class=\"rank-math-link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Peled<\/a>, 2016<span id='easy-footnote-10-236' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href=\"https:\/\/gustavs.se\/intra\/intellipedia-a-case-of-intrapreneurship\/#easy-footnote-bottom-10-236\" title=\"Peled, A. (2016) \u201dCoerce, Consent, and Coax: A Review of U.S. Congressional Efforts to Improve Federal Counterterrorism Information Sharing\u201d, &lt;em&gt;Terrorism and Political Violence&lt;\/em&gt;, 28:4, p. 674-691, &lt;a href=&quot;https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1080\/09546553.2014.924410&quot;&gt;DOI&lt;\/a&gt;\"><sup>10<\/sup><\/a><\/span>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Intellipedia is also named in a conference talk (not cited by Peled) about how the U.S. Information Sharing Environment (ISE), has benefited from Intellipedia (Willbrand, 2010<span id='easy-footnote-11-236' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href=\"https:\/\/gustavs.se\/intra\/intellipedia-a-case-of-intrapreneurship\/#easy-footnote-bottom-11-236\" title=\"Willbrand, R.T. (2010) \u201dThe evolution toward \u2018bureaucracy 2.0\u2019: A case study on Intellipedia, virtual collaboration, and the information sharing environment in the U.S. intelligence community\u201d. &lt;em&gt;&lt;a href=&quot;http:\/\/www.iiis.org\/CDs2010\/CD2010SCI\/IMSCI_2010\/&quot; class=&quot;rank-math-link&quot;&gt;IMSCI 2010&lt;\/a&gt; &#8211; 4th International Multi-Conference on Society, Cybernetics and Informatics&lt;\/em&gt;. p. 149-155.\"><sup>11<\/sup><\/a><\/span>). The DIA study is made from unclassified data extracted from interviews (with ten analysts identified as active users of Intellipedia and five identified as non-users), all anonymized.
